Secured P2P loans
These platforms offer secured P2P loans, with real estate collateral. If a lender defaults, the real estate can be sold, with the proceeds given to lenders. This significantly reduces the risks for investors. The real estate collateral will usually be valued at least 40% more than the loan balance. We think that secured P2P loans offer investors some of the best risk adjusted returns available anywhere right now, but it is important to select loans carefully. We prefer bridge loans to development loans
